All employees will be considered leaders within the school, both spiritually and educationally.

Employees must have the following qualities:

A Christian- a vessel through which God will bless children

A Peace Creator- to foster peaceful relations between the church and school

Principled- standing for what is right; morally upright

A Role Model- all employees set the pace and atmosphere in the school

Organized- daily management requires organization

A Mentor- to help develop the students and his/her colleagues

 

Areas of Responsibility:

Personal Tasks:

1. Develop a school that is Christian through and through.

2. Be enthusiastic about your ministry.

3. Be prayerful.

4. Set a positive example, “in speech, in love, in faith, and in purity.” I Timothy 4:12

5. Keep informed of educational trends through readings, workshops, and conferences.

6. Be a member of the Church of Christ, in good standing.

Serve the Board and Administrator:

1. Advise the Administrator of school happenings.

2. Respect the Board’s rights and responsibilities as the school’s policy-making body. Respect the Administrator as the daily leader of the school.

As a School Employee:

1. Be a Christian who embraces the philosophy of our school.

2. Encourage the spiritual and academic growth of the students you come in contact with.

3. Be prepared to be evaluated by the Administrator.

4. Be involved in helping the school reach its goals in:

a. Christian Ministry

b. Curriculum Ideas

c. Program Changes

d. Standardized Testing

e. Earning/Maintaining Accreditation

f. Parent Relationships

g. Discipline

5. Communicate effectively with Administrator regarding any and all concerns.

Business Management:

1. Keep an accurate account of all monies received and spent.

2. Maintain the building and grounds.

3. Observe all safety, health, and fire codes.

4. Work with Administrator to maintain complete student and personnel files.

5. Maintain security of all student files, personnel files, and financial records.

Public Relations:

1. Be a source of communication for all students, parents, and Administrator.

2. Foster a peaceful relationship between the church and the school.

3. Help recruit students.

4. Be available to students, parents, Administrator, and Board.
